National ASORC Conference

Every two years ASORC organises a National Conference focusing on current issues facing the rehabilitation sector in Australia. Conferences are held in major centres throughout Australia, attracting attendance from not only members but also a broad range of stakeholders of the rehabilitation and allied health profession.

 

2008 ASORC National Conference

The ASORC National Conference "Survival to Revival - Energising Rehabilitation" was held on 10-12 September 2008 - at Rydges Lakeside Hotel in Canberra.   

 

Topics covered at the Conference included: Rural Mental Health initiatives, presentations on Job Capacity Assessments, the Rehabilitation Counsellors' role in the Income Protection Insurance market, Life Coaching, updates from NSW WorkCover and panel discussions on several topics.  Minister Brendan O'Connor officially opened the conference.

Conference Presentations can be downloaded by conference attendees free of charge via weblink.  Members of ASORC who were not able to attend the conference can access the presentations for a fee of $50.00 and Non-members can access them for $150.00.
